10 x 10 "

Using 20 x 20 inch wooden boards, vertically separated in 4-inch interval”, a chamber the size of a traditional telephone booth is constructed. The cross-sectional space in which a body would occupy the chamber is burned out with a propane torch in various postures: standing with hands to side; standing with hands in front of face, kneeling, etc. The pieces were installed on the Mexican boarder in Tijuana, Mexico, during the summer when many illegal migrant workers crossing the border from Mexico to the United States suffer from heat stroke annually.
